But first, I`d like to write a bit about today.

I woke up early, felt a bit annoyed that I didn`t manage to make some graphics yesterday. The lack of inspiration came by to visit me and stayed with me during the whole day. I gave it another try on the evening but didn`t have the grip at all and had to give up. Today was another story, a much more pleasant one, and after one day of lack-of-inspiration, I got the mood and the playful me back - which turned out very good for the work.

I was on the walk to Rapperswil and back and managed to watch the last part of the game between Djokovic and Murray. What a game! I am glad that Djokovic won, although I`d give the creds to Murray who gave Djokovic such a good resistance, that made the match incredibly interesting and nerve wrecking.

I am baking bread (again!) now, packing for Garmisch-Partenkirchen, cleaning the apartment as it`s always pleasant to come back to a perfectly cleaned one so that I don`t have to do much with it just upon my arrival back. As it`s all shining and the bread is under control, I have some time to blog and I have to admit that I am very much looking forward to Garmisch tomorrow. I am leaving together with the parents of Tobias at about 07 in the morning. We are gonna arrive just before the race tomorrow, which I think starts at 12 or 12.30 (you can watch it on Eurosport, swedish readers on SVT 1 as well)

Last year in Garmisch was great. I didn`t ski myself though, but this year I will. I have never skied there before and I am looking forward to experience GaPa in that way too.

This winter-tours that I am experiencing are big pleasure and I got the opportunity to support my boyfriend, to be there for him and also feel the great ambient that these ski destinations are offering.

I`ll also try to once again take a coffee with my friends from the Croatian Team, CroSki as we speak the same language (I have croatian blood too, as my grandmother is croatian and I do speak the language fluently ofcourse) and those people are very kind to me. They have very much to do during the race days, however Mr. Glavic, the head of Cro Ski, always have time to meet me up for a coffee, to talk about ski and the equipment, how "his" Ivica Kostelic is doing, how my boyfriend is doing and just about life, travel, work and so on.

So, I hope for a great weekend, great results and the same ambient like last year on the same place.

With some slight lack of inspiration earlier today, I went to jog couple of kilometers. That, in order to get back the inspiration and fill my mind with colors, letters and typefaces needed for the next project. It`s not always easy, I have been telling you that before, but that`s just the part of it. I guess it`s much harder for the people and companies that have to produce some 10-20 logos and homepages pro month. So I shouldn`t complain.

As the inspiration isn`t back, I am gonna dedicate this evening on working with stuff that doesn`t occupy my mind in the exact same way. Tobias homepage is one of them; I just linked it off from the main web adresse, in order to "clean up" the html codes and make the webpage go faster and be even more dynamic. It`s gonna take a day or two but it`s needed to do it, as well as to make some additional optimizing, such as "best fit ratio" and so on (I know, it`s not easy to understand if you don`t work with these stuff...)

Macarons

Macarons are one of the most beloved sweets in the World. It`s yet unsure exactly when they were manufactured or handmade for the first time, some stories say it was around 1700 and some other that the first macarons were made already in the year of 1533.

Today, these airy and almondy sweets, filled with buttercream or jam, are popular all over the World and there are couple of big manufactors of the macarons, including the french Ladurèe as well as my personal favourite, Luxemburgerli - made by Sprüngli Confisserie.

Macarons can be made at home too, yet it`s a pretty big project and you`ll need not only concentration but also much practice before they turn out to be as perfect as when bought at a confisserie.

A macaron is a sweet meringue-based confectionery made with egg whites, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond powder or ground almond, and food coloring. The macaron is commonly filled with buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two cookies. Its name is derived from the Italian word maccarone or maccherone.

Luxemburgerli`s are one of my very favourite desserts. The "idea" of serving macarons at the table is, as I have learned yesterday, to enjoy two (only??) of them while drinking coffee or tea. However it`s hard to stop at only two and I myself can easily eat ca 10 of them before I feel it`s enough.. The taste, the airy consistency, the tasty meringue and the extra flavours (apricot and caramel are two of my favourites) are great combination in small portions, in order to have a great dessert in the afternoon or evening after the dinner.

Here are the beloved Luxemburgerli`s (I will take one caramel and one apricot now)

About Kitzbühel

Good evening,

We just came back home from a visit to brother of Tobias and I am about to work for an hour now before it`s time to sleep.

I just wanted to make a "short" update about my visit to Kitzbühel last week and the legendary Hahnenkamm Alpine race.

It was great two days, but unfortunately not so good skiing for me. The weather couldn`t be worse for skiing and I should be happy that I could do it at all - I didn`t wanna give up although the wind was pretty strong, the sight bad and it didn`t stop snowing.

As you see - not the optimal conditions for skiing, yet I gave it a shot both on Friday and Saturday. The Super-G race was, due to this weather, cancelled on Friday but the downhill race took place although the racers had bad conditions.

You hardly see anything on the picture, I know (and I have to give myself credits for finding my way down the mountain on this very day...) It was so bad that I almost lost the trace couple of times. It wasn`t necessary at all for me to do skiing in Kitzbühel at all in these conditions, however I thought it would be bad not to even give it a try - I love skiing and want to be able to do it everywhere I go with my boyfriend, so I didn`t wanna give up due to the weather. Maybe not the best idea in the World, however I managed it... :)

The hotel was very cool and nice and, as I stayed downtown during the most popular week of the year for Kitzbühel, it was very crowdy in the nights. However, I would stay in this hotel again next time, as the location is good and it`s pretty close to the gondola which takes you up for skiing. Among that, the hotel is beautifully decorated and has, on top of it all, a pool on the top from which you can enjoy the mountain view.

Kitzbühel is very beautiful and if you travel there in order to see the Hahnenkamm-races, you won`t be dissapointed. It`s the most busy week of a year for this place and you are gonna be surrounded by ca 30 000 visitors / tourists, great ambience and good ski races. If you do skiing too - you`re gonna love this destination. I didn`t manage to ski as much as I wanted (due to the weather) however Kitzbühel stays warm at my heart and I sure look forward to some better skiing there in the near future.

I am back from Kitzbühel as you might have figured, but I had some work to catch up with and therefore - no updates here on the blog yesterday. Well, I didn`t update from Kitzbühel either but there wasn`t time and I don`t like blogging from my BlackBerry, sorry for that.

Today was the first day of work since last Wednesday and I had couple of logos on the schedule. Two logos for work and one that I created inbetween the work; that one for my friend Elina. It`s nice to unwind the serious work and produce great logos for friends like Elina.

... and I am looking forward to it.

With certain nervousity that tend to be good.

During the Kitzbühel-week my friends from Sweden call me just a little bit more often than usually. Or they send sms with "good luck for Tobi" or even mms with picture of Stockholm, writing: "We are gonna have party here tonight if everything goes well" It`s quite entertaining, I remember last year when I honestly received ca 30 sms just before the races of Tobias & co.

Today one of my best friends called, only to say that she has bought two bottles of wine (?), to enjoy them before and during the race. She is gonna watch it on TV in Stockholm and I cannot help myself wonder... bottles of wine at 11.30 in the morning?

Yes, I am nervous already, she said and asked me why I am not.

Simply, I learned not to be nervous anymore. Not in a way that I cannot manage it. Ofcourse I feel certain nervousity but it`s of a positive character and I think that it`s quite normal to feel it during a week like this. But I am also trying (and managing well) to enjoy all these races during the season. I don`t over-analyse some facts anymore. I have done it before and it`s nothing to recommend. Nowadays I enjoy the pulse, the energy and the ambience as well as the fact that Tobias has a pleasure to do these races.

So thru my blog, I would like to thank all my friends who are hoping for him, all the people out there who I know, who care about the result and who care about how it goes for my boyfriend.

I don`t use to write much before the races, since it`s like a part of "the ordinary life" nowadays, but I wanted to share this with some of you, since I know that some people would like me to write more about the races, my thoughts, my feelings and some reports from the places where the competitions are held. I hope that this text gave you a little insight of how I think and feel. So, see you in Kitz.
